Several families participated in Muriel Arnason's Year of the Sheep celebration
by painting paper lanterns, making lucky red envelopes and enjoying New Year’s
refreshments. Two local artists assisted with the lantern painting. Township Mayor Jack Froese and Township Councillor Petrina Arnason also joined to enjoy the festivities. This
annual multicultural event fosters a connection with members of the community
whose family traditions include observance of the Lunar New Year.
