Building Inclusivity in Langley: Commemorating the International Day for the Elimination of Racism event held at Muriel Arnason Library on Thursday, March 22, 2012 was a great success. The event was organized by Township of Langley, Abbotsford Community Services, and Muriel Arnason Library. Township of Langley Councillors Charlie Fox, Grant Ward, Kim Richter, and Steve Ferguson along with several other people enjoyed refreshments, displays, 2 short films on racial discrimination, native drumming, and participated in a very productive discussion, and shared their experiences and contributed ideas to support the worldwide movement towards ending racism and building a society where no one is held back because of who they are, or where they come from. Thanks to all the participants, performers, speakers, volunteers, and everyone who helped in promoting and making it a big success.
