Chinese New Year

On Monday, January 26, Muriel Arnason Library hosted Celebrate the Year of the Ox, a family crafts program highlighting the Lunar New Year. During this popular program, over one hundred participants visited the library throughout the afternoon. Children, adults and even grandparents created dancing dragon puppets and lucky red envelopes to take home. The library provided chocolate coins for the children to place in the envelopes that they had made. The children also decorated a large paper dragon and took it on a tour of the library. Participants sampled traditional Lunar New Year foods and oolong tea.
